Dear Parents and Carers,
What a wonderful start to the year we have had!
This term we have had many exciting events already such as our, Meet the Teacher/Community BBQ, Breakfast Club, Bringing Back the Bush Excursion, SISA Sport, Year 6 Fundraisers, Swimming Carnival, Easter Hat Parade, Harmony Day, World, 'Wasabi' the Therappy, Autism Awareness Day.
We wish all our families a safe and happy holiday break. School will return for students on Tuesday 30 April 2024.
We look forward to welcoming you all back then!
Staff Changes
Mrs Benyameen has been offered a transfer to Leppington Public School and today was her last day at Horsley Park. She will be missed very much, however we wish her all the very best in the future.
Miss Martinez will be teaching K-2 Burley commencing Term 2 for the remainder of 2024. She is a well respected teacher and is looking forward to teaching K-2 Burley.
Miss Sunail will be teaching K/6 Madagascar commencing Term 2 for the remainder of 2024. She is well known to the students of Horsley and is looking forward to teaching K/6Madagascar.
ANZAC DAY
This year Horsley Park Public School will be commemorating ANZAC Day on Tuesday 30th April 2024 together with Marion School.
Permission notes have been sent home via School Bytes. Please complete the notes if you give permission for your child/ren to attend this event.
Anzac Day is a National Day of Remembrance in Australia and New
Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served".
ANZAC Day will take place in the holidays on April 25 2024.
Student Leaders have been invited to attend The Smithfiled RSL Dawn Service on Thursday 25th April.
