Horsley Herald Term 2 Week 9
Dear Parent/Carer
This term has really flown by with only a week until mid-year school holidays. It has been great to see parents meeting with their child’s teacher for Personalised Learning and Support Planning (Parent/teacher interviews) this week. Interviews will also take place next Wednesday between 2-4:30pm for students in K/1A, 3/4D and 2/3A not on a PLaSP-bookings close Monday 26th. If you haven’t already booked, details on how to book were recently sent to your email address.
Fundraising Disco
Our disco was a great success with our year 6 team raising just over $400 towards end of year activities. We would like to thank everyone for supporting this event-a great time was had by all!
Regional Cross Country
Three of our students took part in the Sydney South West regional Cross County carnival last week at the Equestrian Centre. I was proud of the way our athletes represented Horsley.
Official results:
11th 8/9 years Isac Martin-Safi (9:11.4)
27th 10 years boys Calais Tyrell (9:19:4)
47th 11 years girls Tayliah Wright (14:57:1)
Congratulations to these students.
Our students love plying soccer at lunchtime and are looking forward to showing you their skills next Thursday afternoon. If you are free, please come along and join your children for the afternoon. Game starts after recess (1:40pm). The P and C have kindly donated cold drinks for all parent attendees as well as our students taking part in the match. The match will be followed by our final assembly of the term in which the choir and dance group will be performing.
Quick reminders:
- Our annual athletics carnival will take place this coming Monday. Parents are welcome to attend. Please bring something to sit on.
- Our automatic gates will be in operation from 25th July-until then please continue to use Horsley Rd entrance.
- Last day of term 2 Friday 30th June 2023.
Until next time,
Mrs Tracy Sweeney
