Horsley Herald Term 1 Week 5
A very warm welcome to all parents and carers of our new students and their families. I am certain you will enjoy being part of this unique and special community. In 2023 Horsley Park Public School is made up of 85 students and we have had a great start to the year so far.

The P&C will be holding a Second Hand Uniform stall where you be able to purchase second hand school uniforms.
Attendance Matters
Attendance matters at Horsley Park Public School. Regular attendance at school is essential for students to achieve quality life outcomes. Schools, in partnership with parents, are responsible for promoting the regular attendance of students.
On occasion, your child may need to be absent from school for reasons such as being sick, having an infectious disease or having an unavoidable medical appointment. Please contact the school to provide an explanation if your child is absent.
Parents and carers, you are required to provide a doctor’s certificate if your child is away for 3 or more days. Horsley Park Community, let’s work together to make regular attendance a priority at our school.
Horsley Park P&C
The P&C held their AGM on the 14th February, 2023. Many thanks to the elected P&C Executive members who are setting a full calendar of events for fundraising. This term the P&C will be organising a Special Lunch Orders on the 15th March and an Easter Raffle on 6th April. The elected positions of the P&C Executive are:
President: Caterina Halil
Vice President: Rebecca Pearn
Treasurer: Alison Christie
Secretary: Chris Dempster.
Many hands make light work and we encourage and welcome our Horsley Park community to contact the P&C if you would like to support in any way.
Visitors from Wales
On Wednesday 22nd February, seven educators from Wales visited our school. The Wales educators were very interested to learn all about our school. They visited some classrooms and our students shared what they were learning. Students respresented our school proudly showing the Wales educators our values of being respectful, safe and active learners.
