Horsley Herald Term 3 Week 8 2021
Dear Parents and Carers,
Last week the latest advice was delivered from the State Government and the Department of Education outlining the roadmap to return to face-to-face learning. Schools will return to face-to-face learning from 25 October, either through a ‘staged return’ or ‘full return’, depending on NSW Health conditions in their area.

Return To School Roadmap
As a staff, we have been continuing to prepare work for students to complete from home for the start of Term 4. We will also begin to make plans for the return of students to school from 25 October (Week 4). Hopefully, between now and then the increase in vaccination rates will mean that our LGA will no longer be an area of concern and students can start to return to school.
Week 9 is SASS Recognition Week. SASS stands for school and administrative school staff and includes all those fabulous people who work in schools who are not teachers. At our school this is the office staff, the school learning and support officers who support students with learning and support needs, and the general assistant. These wonderful people play a very important role by taking care of numerous non-teaching responsibilities so that teachers can focus on the business of teaching and learning.
We value and appreciate their work every single day. The school could not run without them and we all take time this week to reflect on the value of what they do to contribute to the quality of school life at Horsley Park Public School.
From all of us “THANK YOU!”
