Dear Parents and Carers,
Covid Guidleines
Thank you to our parents and carers who follow the Covid Guidelines and have had their child/ren Covid tested if they show any flu like symptoms. Working together to make things safe and the current arrangements more successful, really makes things easier on everyone.
Any student or staff member who has flu like symptoms - cough, sore/itchy throat, runny nose, head cold or fever MUST have a Covid test. They must isolate until the results are known.
BEFORE students return back to school it is VERY IMPORTANT to email the results to their class teachers or the office.
Anyone who sends their child to school without having a Covid test or presenting the the results to our school - will be made to come and collect their child and follow the correct procedure.
This is a NSW Department of Education practice and all schools must follow these procedures.
Should this process not be followed and the virus is spread at our school - there are some very serious consequences.
There are no exceptions - Everyone needs a Covid test if they have the above symptoms.
The negative result must be presented to our school before your child/ren return to school. It doesn’t matter if a test has been taken previously - everyone needs a new test every time they have fresh symptoms.
I realise the challenges and frustrations - There are no exceptions and am hopeful that you appreciate the school's position.
Thank you for your support.
School Leaders 2021
On Tuesday 1st November we will be hearing from the Yr 5 students who are seeking to be elected as a school leader. We have been supporting students with their speeches and have encouraged students to prepare as much as possible, thinking about why they would make a great school leader. A fair voting system will take place and our new student leaders will be announced at presentation day. Students and Staff will be voting in two school captains, two vice captains and ambassadors for 2021.

Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We are currently coming to the end of a school planning cycle and evaluating the 2018-2020 school plan. We will then be designing a new 4 year School Improvement Plan.
Your feedback and ideas are vital to ensure that the new plan best meets the needs of our whole school community.
Please take 5 minutes to complete the two questions to have your say.

Seven steps to slowing down
As our lives get busier and more hectic, it is important to take some time out to relax, restore and recuperate. Here are seven simple steps that may help you slow down. Give these steps a try, you’ll feel better for it!
1. In your relationships, focus on quality - not quantity. Spend quality time with those you love, actively listen to them and try to reduce distractions.
2. Get a good night’s rest. A proper sleep can help you reset and start the day off on the right note.
3. Take a break from social media and the news. While it is great to stay connected to what is happening around us, it is important to not become overwhelmed by the vast intake of information.
4. Practice mindful eating – actually take the time to enjoy the meal you’re eating and the company you’re with.
5. Check in with your emotions in order to manage your feelings and prevent burning out. Think about the things that might be causing stress and try to limit the impact it has on your emotions.
6. Focus on your personal achievements. Enjoy the tasks you are completing and focus on the journey you are taking as you achieve your goals.
7. Create a healthy environment. Simply opening a window to allow a fresh breeze to come into your space or allowing more natural light into your room can have great effects on your mood.

Family Media Plan
Media should work for you & work within your family values & parenting style. When media is used thoughtfully & appropriately, media can enhance daily life. But when used inappropriately or without thought, media can displace many important activities such as face-to-face interaction, family-time, outdoor-play, exercise, unplugged downtime & sleep.
By creating a personalised Family Media Use Plan, you can be aware of when you are using media to achieve your purpose. This requires parents & users to think about what they want those purposes to be. The tool below will help you to think about media & create goals & rules that are in line with your family’s values.
